Kate's First HEARING Birthday


Kate celebrated her 1st Hearing Birthday with friends and family in August. She has made great progress and enjoyed celebrating and having party! Kate's genetic testing results showed that she did have hearing loss due to the Connexin 26 gene. She should have no other problems and is doing well with her cochlear implants. When Kate's not celebrating with her family and friends, she's having a blast at gymnastics class.

    Happy Birthday Kate. Just wanted to say I live in SOuth Florida and I have recieved great hearing care services from the Hear Florida Audiology Group who provide great Hearing Aid Services.

    Hello! I live in Florida - my 2 year old daughter received cochlear implants last year due to the same genetic disorder - connexin 26. On February 16, 2001, she will be celebrating her first hearing birthday (one year from activation). I was trying to think of a way to celebrate it, also. Any ideas?
